In Bulgaria, the legal regime of real estates has a series of specialities,
connected with the way the property registers are kept, with the way the
relevant deals are performed, with some prohibitions for acquiring, with

There is a constitution prohibition for acquiring of land by foreign physical
bodies. The equality of bodies corporate and economic subjects, guaranteed by
the law, however, regardless the nationality of their capital, allows that a
local company, even with entirely foreign capital, without restrictions to
acquire any kind of a real estate, including land. The land deals are VAT
released, whereas any other deal is subject to VAT.
